JENNY ZYLSTRA
1) Tell us a little bit about yourself and your family
My husband, Fred and I retired to the Sunshine Coast from Wollongong 2 years ago. We have 3 grown-up children and 8 grandchildren who bring us much joy.
2) What do you enjoy doing for recreation?
We enjoy travelling with our caravan, exploring this amazing country. We also love walking around the lakes at Sippy Downs and walking at Mooloolaba Beach. I enjoy reading, gardening and making new friends.
3) How has Jesus changed your life?
I am blown away by the awesome truth that Jesus loves me so much that He came to earth, lived, died and rose from the dead so that I can have a personal, loving relationship with God who created me. Jesus really is my best friend and He has never let me down.
4) What’s your favourite Bible verse? Why?
There are heaps of Bible verses that I love, but one of my all-time favourites is 2 Corinthians 12:9 which says: “My (Jesus) grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” I often feel weak and fearful, so it’s wonderful to lean on the One Who is totally reliable and has infinite strength to help me.
5) What excites you most about helping launch Aura Church?
Knowing there are so many people out there who are hungry for peace with God and searching for the meaning of life, we can introduce them to Jesus, who truly is the answer!
