ANDREW GLEN
1) Tell us a little bit about yourself and your family
We are a family of 3 – my wife Olivia, myself and our 3-year-old son, Oscar. We have loved living on the coast for the last 4 years.
2) What do you enjoy doing for recreation?
I love the outdoors. Nothing energizes me like getting out into the rainforest for a bush walk or out on a boat fishing or snorkelling. I love exploring the beauty and diversity of God’s creation. I also like doing woodwork and DIY projects.
3) How has Jesus changed your life?
Without Jesus, my life would be devoid of purpose, joy and hope. Jesus has given me a life worth living, even when circumstances don’t seem to go ‘our way’. He has shown me that I have fallen so far short of his Holiness that only through Him can I be saved.
4) What’s your favourite Bible verse? Why?
Hebrews 12:1-3 talks about throwing off everything that hinders us, running the race with perseverance, and fixing our eyes on Christ, who endured the cross for us.
I love how it talks about throwing off everything that hinders and fixing our eyes NOT on what surrounds us, but on Christ, who is both the pioneer and perfecter of faith.
5) What excites you most about helping launch Aura Church?
I am most excited to see God work on his church in Aura like seeing the development of an exquisite building from the foundations up. I am really looking forward to seeing Him bring light and life into lives that were previously living in darkness.
